The Wine Barrel in Mudgeeraba gets a dashing review by Chantay Logan in the Gold Coast Bulletin’s TASTE section.
“There’s treasure buried in the wine list, but with the best pickings by the bottle, you’ll need to rope in a designated driver to do it justice.
Also check out the boutique local brews, including Pickled Pig’s organic and preservative free alcoholic ginger beer out of Murwillumbah.”
Check it out! www.thewinebarrelrestaurant.com.au
Found on page 3 of the Gold Coast Bulletin on 7 August 2015.
“There can’t be many people with a name as perfectly suited as Paul Brewer…”
Pickled Pig Brewery was recently featured in the following article ‘The ultimate foodie road trip with Honda’ by The Gourmand & Gourmet
…Which is good, because it means you’ll have plenty of carbs in you to soak up the beer on a Pickled Pig Brewery tour. After a bit of shopping at the newly renovated Pacific Fair and a light (LIGHT) second breakfast at Paddock Bakery, of course. Pickled Pig’s brews are all organic, and you’ll see just how their made on a tour through the boutique brewery.”

We have proudly made the finalist list for the Business Excellence Awards Tweed Shire (BEATS)!
Our business has demonstrated business excellence in the category ‘best manufacturing company’ and has moved on to the next round of judging. The judging was done by neutral judges from Southern Cross University. Many of the entries were of an extremely high calibre. The documents were picked though with a fine tooth comb in order for the judges to decide who was the best, in a very competitive field.
Pickled Pig Brewery will be promoted as one of our Businesses of Excellence finalists. This is an honour!
In order to receive the award we must attend the Gala Awards Evening. This will be a fantastic evening full of entertainment, prizes, art auction and an indulgent three course dinner. Many businesses make this the annual staff party or their official business function for the year. It is very motivating for managers and staff.
This Year’s Gala Awards night will be a red carpet ‘vintage-glamour’ style event with some of the region’s award winning talent set to entertain us in a show specially created for BEATS 2015. Performers include multi Dolphin Award winning artist and show director Jo Satori and 17yr old Nina Baumer, as seen on the TV show – “The Voice” July 7. Featuring the up and coming youth brass Little Big Band mentored by the incredible Martha Baartz and Steve Russell.
Guests will be indulging in a sumptuous three course meal from Juju’s award winning chef, Jonathon Evans. Drinks are proudly supplied by Stone and Wood Brewery, Husk Distillers, Pickle Pig Brewery and Mount Warning Spring Water. This is a Totally Tweed event! All produce and businesses sourced for this event are from the Tweed Shire.
All finalists need to be present at the Business Excellence Awards Gala Evening 6pm August 15 at the Murwillumbah Civic Centre to accept their trophy. Tickets will on sale from 15th of July from www.beatsawards.com.au. Tickets are $110 and include dinner, show and a complimentary drink on arrival.
Congratulations to all the finalists! We hope we can come home with a win and make the Tweed Business Community proud!

IF you are a foodie, the only place you’ll want to be 10 – 19 July 2015 is at the Taste of Kingscliff and the Tweed Coast food festival.
The 10 day event with a series of food-inspired, family-friendly beach-side events. Full details can be found HERE.
We did a Pickled Pig Brewery Tasting Tour & BBQ event on Wednesday 15 July and had a stand in the marquee at the event for tastings.
What a great day! For those that missed our brewery tour this year, you can be assured that we will definitely be including the brewery in next year’s festival. A great local and family business based in Tweed Heads South producing a quality product.
Hangover-free craft beer, chemical and preservative free…No flying pigs here, just the Pickled Pig!
